Ronald J. Parker is the CFO of King & Bishop. He is also a management advisor accredited by the Institute for Independent Business, a not-for-profit research and accreditation organization established in 1984. He has a proven track record of building business value through sales growth, cost containment and human resources development. His goal is to provide guidance and practical advice to small and medium sized businesses.
Before joining King & Bishop, Ron was Development Director for NETG-Spectrum, a $25M custom multimedia training company. In that role, Ron led multidisciplinary teams in the development of training programs for Fortune 500 companies such as FedEx, Allstate Insurance, Sears, and Target Stores. Ron also served as Director of Human Resources at Spectrum, where he managed a broad range of issues including recruiting, benefits, compensation, and organizational planning and development. Ron’s early experience includes financial and income tax auditing responsibilities during separate stints at the international CPA firm Laventhol & Horwath, and the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, he held individual contributor and management roles at General Electric Company in the areas of recruitment, employee relations and organizational design.
Ron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bryant College and an MBA from Providence College. Additionally, Ron has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Tufts Health Maintenance Organization, a renowned Boston-based health insurer with over 800,000 subscribers; Summer Search Boston, a summer experiential program for high school youth in the Boston public schools system; and the Druid Hill YMCA in Baltimore, MD.
