Description

Our client, a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions and services, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role is critical to ensuring the timely collection of overdue accounts, resolving billing issues, and supporting service operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and take action to ensure timely payment
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts and work to either collect the full overdue amount or negotiate payment plans for installment-based collections
  • Utilize credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches, and other tools to locate customers who have moved or changed contact information
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, collection attempts, and any payments received
  • Resolve customer billing issues and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies
  • Provide regular updates on the status of overdue accounts, including repayment progress and any customer feedback
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and the Billing Specialist to ensure accurate billing and proper invoices
  • Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and highlight any repayment challenges or trends
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Service software platform to streamline collections and billing processes
  • Provide support to the Service Operations Team with general administrative duties, including answering phones, issuing purchase orders, and scheduling appointments
  • Offer assistance with additional Service Operations tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and poise, particularly in stressful situations
  • Proven ability to work closely and efficiently with both clients and internal teams in a professional, business environment
