Cost Accountant

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high performance imaging systems, is hiring a Cost Accountant to join their team. This position will play a crucial role in analyzing inventory transactions, managing month-end close activities, and driving impactful process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate weekly cycle counts, ensuring annual inventory goals are met and maintaining accuracy
• Dive into inventory variances, such as PPV and work orders, collaborating with team members to resolve issues promptly
• Take charge of month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
• Maintain the integrity of assets by reconciling consigned inventory accounts with third parties
• Spearhead the annual STD cost roll, ensuring accurate and efficient execution
• Drive system improvements by supporting management and IT initiatives, streamlining processes for greater efficiency
• Contribute to quarterly E&O reporting and review, ensuring financial health
• Play a key role in supporting year-end audits, addressing inventory-related inquiries and requests
• Engage in special projects as needed

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting
• Cost/Inventory experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet monthly deadlines
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems – SAP experience a plus
