November Employment Situation Report

On Friday December 8th the government reported that employers brought in 228,000 employees in November. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, significant increases came in professional and business services (+46,000) , manufacturing (+31,000), and health care (+30,000). It looks like the unemployment rate will remain at 4.1% and there continues to be 6.6 million unemployed individuals in the U.S. Last year, the unemployment rate was higher by 0.5%. Temporary staffing help grew by over 0.5% from October to November up 3.6% over the prior 12 month period.
Business confidence is up and a majority of employers are planning on expanding their talent pools in 2018.

We are hearing the same across the board from many of our clients. With added headcount creates the need for competent and credible human resources support.
