BOSTON, MA, FEBRUARY 27, 2017: Karim Hill, founder and managing director of Managing Perspectives, LLC has been named the new president of The Smaller Business Association of New England, Inc. (SBANE). SBANE is a private, not-for-profit association of approximately 600 member companies located throughout the six-state region.
The announcement was made by SBANE chair Robin Main, partner with the law firm of Hinckley Allen who noted Mr. Hill’s experience in the business development services industry signals an emphasis of the organization to provide growth opportunities to its members in today’s challenging economy.
“One of the keys to the success of this organization for some nearly 80 years is our ability to adapt to the needs of our members and in 2017, we know our businesses owners are eager to find new ways to grow their business,” said Ms. Main. “Karim is uniquely qualified to provide that strategic guidance to the organization and its members, and we are thrilled to welcome him on board.”
“I’m pleased to join an organization as vibrant as SBANE and one with such a long tradition of service to businesses here in New England,” said Mr. Hill. “I’ve spent the better part of my career working with business owners who are working hard to find innovative ways to expand and I look forward to leading a team of qualified professional in applying lessons learned across a broader spectrum of companies throughout New England.”
He continued, “We are presently working on plans to open and staff new offices in four additional states with a greater breadth of programs to assist our members and we look forward to sharing that information with our partners and members in the near future.”
Mr. Hill currently provides strategic management consulting and business development services to companies in the financial services, technology, healthcare and consumer retail industries. Before launching his own firm he was and Executive Vice President and Retail Banking Director for RBS Citizens Bank. Mr. Hill also served as Senior Vice President for Capital One Bank, in a similar capacity for Bank of America and as District Manager for Wells Fargo.
He resides in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
